Our stairlift engineer Josh visited a lovely detached home bordering on Bristol Zoo Gardens to remove their Handicare stairlift. The home had been left in disrepair due to the elderly lady not being able to keep up with housework and decoration. Since the ladies passing the family decided to have the unwanted stairlift removed and modernise the home.

Josh removed the stairlift swiftly and payment was made to the nephew who arranged the appointment with us. He was very excited to get started on stripping back the house without the stairlift being in the way.

One of our staff Lee attended an Acorn stairlift removal on Lake View Road in Bristol. The beautiful property had a French balcony to the front and faced onto St George Park with stunning greenery. The owner Mr Smith said the staircase was rather narrow and as the stairlift was no longer used he had decided to part with it to make access easier.

Mr Smith asked that we attended as soon as possible so we shuffled some appointments and attended within the week. Our engineer Lee removed the stairlift carefully and took it away, paying Mr Smith £200. Mr Smith called our offices to compliment the friendly attitude of the engineer and thanked us for arranging an appointment as priority.

We attended a property in Bristol located nearby the Cathedral to remove three stairlifts – all in one home! The three Stannah stairlifts were all curved and made bespoke for the unique staircases. The home was a town house, so more than one stairlift was required to cover all the stairs and make the home suitable for their daughter which had a knee injury.

When Mrs Arnold contacted us, the family had a stroke of good luck and their daughter’s injury had healed. They were keen to have all the stairlifts removed and get back to normality in the home. We made payment of £600 for the stairlifts and removed them all free of charge.
