Customer Stories in Manchester
Manchester and surrounding areas in Lancashire are another one of our most requested locations for stairlift removals and for people looking to sell their stairlift.
There’s lots going on in Manchester City Centre! It’s a fantastical hub for Art, Entertainment, and great food. It’s hard to resist the temptations but for our engineer – there is work to be done! He attended a removal located near the well-known Piccadilly Gardens for our customer Mr Jones.
Our engineer Josh took the Handicare 950 stairlift out within 45 minutes and even tidied up after himself so there was no mess to clean when he left. Mr Jones had nothing but praise for our engineer’s attitude and neat work and was very happy that there was no haggling about the stairlifts condition or price to be paid on arrival. The process could not have been simpler, and the removal went so smoothly that Josh even had time to grab some tasty local food to go.

Lee travelled a road alongside the River Mersey on his way to his last job of the day in Stockport, Greater Manchester. The property he attended was just opposite the lovely Mersey Vale Nature Park – what a view! The stairlift was a difficult removal, its rail had several bends and was extremely long, so it took 80 minutes to complete. The customer admitted he had tried to sell it privately first, but the purchaser didn’t have a clue where to start! That’s when he decided to call the professionals.
Lee removed the stairlift safely and without any damage to the property or the stairlift so it could be recycled. Mr Abdul was happy to have the stairlift removed and we were able to match the offer made by his original buyer.

Recently our engineer, Matt, went out to a Stannah stairlift removal nearby the University of Salford located in Greater Manchester. Our customer Miss Lewis was a student who was renting a property where the unwanted stairlift resided. The landlord had given permission for the stairlift to be removed so she had contacted us. The stairlift was an older 420 model that is no longer manufactured, but we offered to remove the stairlift free of charge to recycle some of the parts where possible.
Both Miss Lewis and her flatmate were thrilled with the arrangement as it gave her more space and freedom in their home and instantly modernised the property. As two students tight on a budget, they were well-satisfied that it hadn’t cost them anything. Matt even stopped by the local Greggs bakery a few doors down for a quick sausage roll – it’s a win- win for everyone!
