Customer Stories in Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Way Aye! Interested in having a stairlift removal in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne area? We cover the surrounding areas of Northumberland, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Sunderland, Durham, Hartlepool and more.
In December our engineer Matt went out to an appointment in Newcastle and got to pass the famous Angel of the North on his way into Gateshead. Our customer required an urgent removal as they had booked in for a new carpet fitting to the property and the unwanted stairlift needed to go.
The stairlift was bordering on 15 years old and unfortunately could no longer be recycled but the customer was happy to accept our charged removal and disposal services to get rid of the stairlift quickly. We were able to attend within a matter of days so that the stairlift didn’t hinder his redecorating.

Our staff Lee attended to remove a stairlift on Beverley Terrace in South Shields which overlooks the stunning Cullercoats Bay. This lovely property had an Acorn curved 180 stairlift which had been custom made due to the staircase.
Mrs Yates was moving to another property and was unable to relocate the stairlift due to the custom nature. She was extremely happy were able to recycle it because it is so bespoke, and that she was able to get some money back to go towards her next stairlift.

We recently attended a rather strange job - two stairlifts next door to each other in separate properties! The first customer had contacted us and arranged the removal of their unwanted stairlift which led to them chatting to the neighbour and recommending us. The houses – located near Little Moor, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne – were beautiful Edwardian terrace homes which had almost identical Acorn 130 Slimline stairlifts fitted.
We removed both stairlifts while we were in the area leaving both neighbours very pleased and with one less job to do! They said they were both delighted with the helpful service and would highly recommend us to anyone else in the area requiring a removal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Unfortunately, we are not a charity. If you wish to donate your stairlift to be recycled, please get in touch and we can check it meets our recycling requirements. Sadly, we do not know any charities that accept stairlifts second-hand due to health and safety.
No, unfortunately at this moment in time we are only able to purchase stairlifts. We recommend speaking with a local mobility shop to see if they can help.
We would either require photographs of information about the stairlift to provide a quote – if this is not obtainable, we may not be able to help. However, once a quote has been given, we are happy to discuss other access options such as key safes, access via a neighbour, or estate agent. We can also work with you if you will be at the property on certain dates.
