Our lead engineer attended a complicated removal on Gillygate in the centre of York, just around the corner from the beautiful York Minster landmark. The stairlift was in an over-the-shop apartment on a very narrow staircase. The stairlift should not have been fitted by the installer as it was not suitable for the space or the user, so sadly the customer needed it to be removed as soon as possible.

Our engineer arrived and removed it, which was difficult due to the restricted space, but it was completed in less than an hour. The customer was very happy we could help him as the installer was being very difficult. He was also pleased to get some money back to help fund his through-floor lift.

We attended to a customer on Knavesmire Crescent, which was facing directly onto the York Racecourse grounds. The stairlift had already been removed free of charge by the installer, but they were not able to offer the customer any money back. The customer was happy with the offer we were able to make, so our customer service coordinators arranged a suitable appointment to attend.

On the day the engineer simply had to check the stairlift for damage, and then the payment was made in cash. The customer was very happy with the easy process and fast collection within the week.

We attended a removal at a semi-detached home on Almery Terrace in York, located nearby to the National Railway Museum and backing onto the River Ouse. Mrs Finch had a custom-made Acorn 180 stairlift which she wanted to sell, but the installer would not purchase it from her despite only being one year old.
