Customer Stories in Leeds
It isn’t surprising Leeds is one of our hot spots for stairlift removal requests being the Third-largest City in the UK, and the largest in West Yorkshire. In fact, we have an engineer in Leeds and the surrounding area most days of the week.
We attended a removal for the lovely Mrs Thorpe in the Kirkstall area of Leeds to remove her used Acorn stairlift that was no longer needed. Mrs Thorpe was luckily moving to a bungalow, which suited her changing needs much better and would improve her quality of life. She was just moving further down Abbey Road, which - as you may have guessed - is on the doorstep of the historic Kirkstall Abbey.
We collected the stairlift on the morning of Mrs Thorpe’s move, meaning that she did not have to be without the stairlift when she needed it. She was ever so thankful for our assistance and praised the service from our office staff and engineers.

In July we went out to Leeds Dock for a recent removal. This is a beautiful canal surrounded area, with modern apartment buildings and local shops. Our engineer also caught a passing glance of the Royal Armouries Museum where they were performing a Jousting Tournament right outside.
The removal was required in one of the apartment buildings hallways, requested by the landlord. The tenant who had it installed had left it behind, and the landlord decided to have it removed since it was no longer of use to anyone living there. Of course, we were happy to oblige and came out within 7 days. The landlord received a payment for the stairlift, and it couldn’t have been easier.

Our engineer headed out to a scheduled removal in the town of Morley, within the City of Leeds for Mr and Mrs Calver. Mrs Calver had sadly been battling cancer and had required the stairlift as her mobility had been reduced significantly. Thankfully, Mrs Calver had made a wonderful recovery and Mr and Mrs Calver were confident she no longer required the stairlift.
We purchased the stairlift and offered our free professional removal service. The stairlift was removed in under an hour without any damage or signs the stairlift was ever there (barring a few small holes where it had been bolted into the carpet). Mr Calver told us how pleased he was to be rid of the stairlift, but he had been thankful for its service during the time they needed it and glad it could get a new lease of life elsewhere.
